Chester William Nimitz, Sr. was a U.S. Navy admiral with the highest rank of five-star admiral. Nimitz’s early focus on researching submarines later became an expert on diesel engine technology in the U.S. Army, and after the outbreak of the Pacific War, Nimitz served as Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, Commander-in-Chief of the Allied Forces in the Pacific Theater, and dominated the war against Japan, thus military historian Edwin Palmer Hoyt commented, “Halsey could win a naval battle, Spruance could win a battle, and Nimitz could win a battle.” After the war, Nimitz served as Secretary of Naval Operations until his retirement in 1947.This Nimitz Bronze Garden Sculpture was custom made by one of our previous clients, who loved Nimitz so much. “The sculpture is great to put in the garden”, he told us after receiving the sculpture.
Our Technology – The Lost Wax Method
First, the to-be-cast (wax pattern) is carved with a waxy material mixed with beeswax, rosin and butter, then the clay clarified clay is poured over the wax pattern and sprinkled with quartz sand, crushed plant fibers, sawdust, etc. Allow to dry, then pour in the clay and yellow clay and stir in the clarifying clay, then sprinkle with sand. After doing this several times outside the wax mold, heat the shells over the fire. The wax melts into a liquid when heated and disappears from the shell. Afterwards, the die shell is sintered and the molten metal liquid is poured into the die shell for casting. Once cooled, knock off the mold shell to get a cast that is the same shape as the wax mold.
