The Kiss is a marble sculpture created by French sculptor Auguste Rodin in 1882. The encircling nude couple depicted in the sculpture originally appeared as part of a group of reliefs that adorned Rodin’s massive bronze portal, Hell’s Gate, which was commissioned for a planned art museum in Paris. Later, the couple was removed from Gates and replaced by another couple of lovers located on the smaller right-hand column. We did a complete restoration with this replica of a bronze sculpture.
